Substance Abuse Treatment

Innovative addiction treatment services tailored to the individuals needs

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy involves just two people: the patient and the therapist. This type of one-on-one therapy works by addressing the specific problems a person might have.

Group Therapy

It’s important for patients to spend time in group environments where there are others who have been through similar experiences.

The levels of care offered at Hope Center Recovery start with evidenced-based intensive therapies of PHP and end with the ongoing support of our Aftercare program.

Individual Clinical Care

Our services offer support to our patients on their way to recovery with a flexible schedule. With both day and evening programming, our step down levels of care can be individualized to meet each patient’s needs. At HCR, we understand that a balanced life is important to long-term recovery, and we strive to prepare our patients to succeed after their time with us.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy in which patients learn to address their thought patterns. It enables people to change false or limiting beliefs to positively affect behavior, and forms an optimal part of a robust treatment plan.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a model of cognitive-behavioral therapy that emphasizes the development of healthier coping skills and emotional responses. At HCR, we offer DBT as part of our robust, evidence-based treatment curriculum.

Motivational Interviewing (MI)

Also known as MI, Motivational Interviewing is a therapeutic technique that focuses on empowering patients to actively engage in their own recovery. This modality can be useful in addressing substance abuse as it gives clear motivation towards necessary behavior changes even when patients are struggling with internal resistance and cravings.

Levels Of Care

Hope Center Recovery treats the whole person from the point of crisis to the beginning of a productive, useful way of living.

Each level of care at HCR starts with an assessment of each patient and their circumstances. That assessment allows placement into Detoxification, Partial Hospitalization Programming (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) or Outpatient services. HCR believes the true success of each patient is based upon the skills taught throughout the entire treatment process. The levels of care offered at HCR start with evidenced-based intensive therapies of PHP and end with the ongoing support of our Aftercare program. Treating the whole person is our primary goal.

Partial Hospitalization Programming (PHP)

Hope Center Recovery provides a structured program of services as an alternative to inpatient or residential care. PHP 2.5 level of care, also known as day treatment, provides services during the day and doesn’t require an overnight stay.

PHP is a structured and intensive treatment option that provides comprehensive care for individuals who require a higher level of support. PHP is 5.5 hours a day of group and individual therapy and typically lasts 4-6 weeks.

Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP)

Hope Center Recovery’s IOP 2.1 level of care is a flexible day or evening track that consists of 3 hours a day 3-5 days a week. IOP is a step down from our PHP program.

IOP consists of continued individual and group therapy. Focusing on strengthening and developing resiliency and coping skills, relapse prevention, daily living skills, and physical, mental, and emotional healing.

Outpatient Programming (OP)

Hope Center Recovery offers outpatient level 1.0

Outpatient (OP) is the least intensive level of care in the continuum of drug and alcohol treatment. Less than 3 days a week and 9 hours per week. OP is generally 2 weeks and is designed to set the patient up for long term success in recovery.

OP includes providing support for continuum of care navigating a primary care physician, mental health therapists, seeking outside community engagement and recovery supports. OP also includes educational groups, individual sessions, and medication management.

Sober Living Environments (SLE)

Supportive recovery living housing

Hope Center Recovery partners with Premiere Sober Living to best support patients in our care. We also partner with numerous other SLE’s in the Portland metro area to provide the best outcomes for individuals participating in treatment services.

Recovery and sober living homes can assist individuals to provide structure and accountability outside of clinical hours and services. SLE’s provide a solid support system and a safe living environment that allows residents to grow and get the accountability they need to sustain sobriety.

The journey of recovery is a life-long process that takes the community, accountability, and a supportive living environment. Most individuals want to return to the same environment that they had previously been drinking and using thinking they can control all their personal triggers.

The disease of addiction is always looking for vulnerabilities in the addict. These vulnerabilities can reside in people, places, and things. Sober living housing builds protective factors that mitigate the risks of relapse by holding house guests accountable for their recovery.
